Kaf or Qaf?

These are made at different places in the mouth. Find the right place and the difference takes care of itself.

The back of the tongue, hard palate

Slightly forward of qāf: the back of the tongue meets the harder part of the roof and releases.

قQaf

The back of the tongue, soft palate

The very back of the tongue rises to the soft part of the roof of the mouth and cuts the air off completely.
